Does Compass NP in Psychiatry PLLC offer therapy sessions?While I’m not a licensed therapist and don’t offer full therapy sessions, I highly recommend that you collaborate with a qualified therapist (LCSW, PsyD, PhD) in conjunction with taking medication for comprehensive support. I’m here to work closely with you, providing guidance, medicine management and light therapy insights as part of your wellness journey.

Does Compass NP in Psychiatry PLLC accept insurance?Yes. I currently accept the following insurances: Optum (includes United Healthcare and more), Aetna, Cigna and Northwell Health. I will soon be accepting Anthem.

What can I expect during an initial appointment?In your initial appointment, you'll meet with me in my office or via video call. We will explore your psychiatric history and current symptoms. This time is also your time to ask questions about diagnoses, treatment options, and medications. Together, we'll set treatment goals, which may include lifestyle adjustments, and if suitable, a medication plan and prescription(s) will be provided.

How often can I expect to meet with you?Follow-up appointments are tailored to your needs and treatment plan. Initially, I will meet with you at least monthly to monitor symptoms and assess any side effects, ensuring regular support. Of course, if you feel the need to be seen sooner, simply reach out me to schedule an earlier appointment.
