My Specialties
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, considering each patient’s medical history, psychosocial factors, and prior mental health treatments.
Based on these assessments, I develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, which may include prescribing and managing psychotropic medications. Educating patients and their families is a key part of my approach, helping them understand their conditions and treatment options while connecting them to community resources.

Alcohol/Drug Addiction
A chronic condition where individuals have a compulsive need to use substances, despite harmful consequences, affecting both physical and mental health.
I offer individualized treatment plans, including medications such as Vivitrol, to help manage cravings, withdrawal symptoms, and maintain long-term sobriety.
Panic Disorder:
Characterized by sudden, intense episodes of fear or anxiety (panic attacks) that can occur unexpectedly, often leading to physical symptoms like a racing heart or shortness of breath.
I use a combination of medication and support to help manage panic attacks, reduce anxiety, and improve daily functioning.
Bipolar Disorder:
A mental health condition marked by extreme mood swings, including emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression), affecting energy, behavior, and decision-making.
Treatment includes mood-stabilizing medications and support to help balance mood swings and improve overall emotional regulation.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD):
A mental health condition that occurs after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, causing flashbacks, nightmares, and severe anxiety that disrupts daily life.
I provide medications to assist in the healing journey and manage symptoms like flashbacks and anxiety.
Social Anxiety Disorder:
An intense fear of social situations where individuals worry about being judged or embarrassed, often leading to avoidance and distress in social interactions.
There are many medications available that can help reduce fear in social situations and build confidence in managing social interactions.
Major Depressive Disorder:
A mood disorder that causes persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of interest in activities, significantly impacting daily functioning.
Treatment includes antidepressant medications aimed at improving mood, reducing feelings of hopelessness, and restoring daily functioning.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD):
A condition where individuals experience unwanted, repetitive thoughts (obsessions) and engage in compulsive behaviors to reduce anxiety or prevent feared outcomes.
I offer medications, such as SSRIs, to help reduce obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
